The Glooscap Singles Crib Champion for 2018-19
The weekend is finally upon us! Teams from across the province will be in attendance for the open Club Curler Championship.
The full draw is avaiable here.
You can also watch, yes watch, online via Glooscap's YouTube Stream.
We hope to see you throughout the weekend (hopefully as a volunteer) and we really want to see you Saturday Night, clapping and tapping your foot to the music of Freedom Sound (featuring Greg Sampson & Kelly Upton)!
The Beginner Curler Fun Spiel was held on Sat, March 9, 2019. The team led by Tim Scott won the event with three teams tied for second.
What else happened at the event is something that speaks volumes about the kind of people who are becoming members of the Glooscap Curling Club. After the prize money was passed out to the teams, one team after another said thanks but would rather give it back to the club.
The next time you see a new curler, say thanks for being a member! They care about our curling club.
From March 15 thru March 17, our club will play host to a total of 21 men's and women's teams from both the local area and around the province as we host the Nova Scotia Curling Association's 2019 Open Club Curler Championship. Not only does it give us a chance to showcase our club but it is also an opportunity to raise funds that are invested back into the club.
To accomplish that we need your help. Whether you are able to commit time during those three days and/or supplies for the kitchen, your contribution will be valued. There will be a sign up sheet on the bulletin board inside the front door of the club. Some of the volunteer needs are in the kitchen, recording online scores and monitoring video links, 50/50 sales, general maintenance and Sunday after-event cleanup. I will also post a list of supplies that would be beneficial in the kitchen.
